Senior Rails Developer
The Role
The Senior Rails Developer role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Ruby on Rails applications. The position requires working with multitenant architectures, integrating with external systems, and ensuring high code quality through testing and code reviews.
Essential Job Duties & Functions
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Rails applications in a multi-tenant, multi-database environment.
- Implement and optimize integrations with external CRM systems using APIs and webhook-based data
- Build and maintain background jobs for data synchronization, order processing, and outbound
- Collaborate with team members to deliver features and resolve
- Write and maintain comprehensive tests and ensure code quality with automated linting
- Participate in code reviews and architectural
- Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance across the stack.
Qualifications/Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with multi-tenant Rails applications and database partitioning.
- Experience integrating with external APIs and handling webhook-based data flows.
- Proficiency with background job frameworks (e.g., ActiveJob, Sidekiq).
- Familiarity with modern Rails best practices, testing, and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with frontend build tools and modern
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience with event management, e-commerce, or SaaS
- Knowledge of email marketing systems and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with containerization and cloud deployment.
