Travel Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304 (North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Facility Type: Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele RN)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00), 4 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1660 - $1700 per week
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Royal blue and white
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted shifts guaranteed after 2 call-offs per 13-week assignment

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Successful completion of advanced EKG exam required
• Travel nurses only – locals not accepted within 50-mile radius
• Return staff must have been away for at least 1 year to qualify as a traveler
• Compliance with facility background and licensing policies

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Float to similar nursing units as needed to support hospital operations
