Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) — 13-week travel nursing contract in Asheville, NC (28801). Seeking experienced Surgical Trauma ICU and critical care RNs for a high-acuity, on-site assignment at a Magnet hospital and ACS Verified Level I Trauma Center.

- Hours: 36 hours/week; 12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:00)

- Openings: 2 travel nurse positions
- Schedule: Modified self-scheduling; weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,750–$1,840/week (estimated range, actual compensation may vary based on qualifications and contract specifics)
- Scrub Color: All navy or all white (navy bottoms/white top permitted)

Required Qualifications
- Acute care ICU RN experience in Trauma ICU and Surgical ICU required (LTAC-only experience not considered)
- Valid RN license (state requirements apply)
- Active ACLS and BLS certification
- Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and critical care nursing
- Excellent teamwork, flexibility, clinical judgment, and compassionate patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for trauma and surgical ICU patients, including continuous assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid intervention.
- Manage advanced ICU therapies and equipment: EVDs, Camino/bolts, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, GE Carescape monitors and ventilators, iCool, Blanketrol, Bair Hugger, Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll, Kangaroo feeding pumps, Alaris PCA pumps.
- Assist with and support procedures: intubation/extubation, chest tube care, central and arterial line management, Foley placement, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, proning, TPA/hypertonic medication administration, trach care, EVD/bolt care, CRRT/HD support, irrigation/debridement, and minor surgical assistance.
- Document accurately and timely in Cerner PowerChart, adhering to unit standards and patient safety protocols.
- Float to other critical care areas as needed (MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU) or Step Down; travelers float prior to core staff.
- Promote a kind, compassionate patient experience and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.
