Position: Revenue Accountant
About the Role
We are looking for a Revenue Accountant with a foundational understanding of ASC 606 and a willingness to grow into a more advanced revenue accounting role. This position offers exposure to SaaS revenue processes, automation initiatives, and system improvements. Ideal candidates will have some experience with revenue recognition and a strong interest in learning and developing technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing customer contracts for ASC 606 considerations.
- Support month-end close activities, including revenue reporting and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations) to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Help implement process improvements and automation initiatives to reduce manual work.
- Participate in system-related projects, including testing and documentation.
- Respond to auditor inquiries and assist with drafting accounting memos.
- Contribute to scaling revenue processes as the organization grows.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Basic understanding of ASC 606 principles and revenue recognition concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SaaS revenue accounting.
- Exposure to Workday Financials or Salesforce.
- CPA license or progress toward certification.
