CVOR Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Facility: Mission Hospital – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens Travel Contract
• Assignment Duration: 10 weeks (Start: 8/5/2025, End: 10/14/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2470-$2540
• Guaranteed Hours per Week: 48 (Overtime eligible after 48 hours)
• Orientation: 4-hour hospital orientation
• RN Scrub Color Requirement: Navy, white, or a combination of navy and white

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR nursing experience
• Rapid Response specialty experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in call rotation (weekday call: 6:45 PM – 6:00 AM; weekend/holiday call: 24-hour coverage starting at 6:00 AM)
• Professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical healthcare environment
• Compliance with hospital policies, including tobacco-free campus

CVOR Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, assisting with complex cardiac surgical procedures
• Respond rapidly to emergent situations and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital protocols
• Participate in scheduled call shifts and provide nursing support during weekends and holidays as needed
• Attend hospital orientation and ongoing nursing education sessions
• Uphold high standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and quality care
