Overview :

We're hiring Team Members & Team Captians

Our Team Members make it happen! Team Members are the face of our business and the Smoothie King Brand. They help Guests meet their fitness and nutrition goals by helping select smoothies and retail products that inspire our Guests to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

Shift Leads serve as the Team Captain . They not only help Guests meet their fitness and nutrition goals by assisting them to help select smoothies and retail products that inspire them maintain a healthy and active lifestyle but, also, provide guidance to Team Members when General Managers are not in the store.

Guest Focus

  • Is responsible for product and Guest Service experience
  • Greets and engages with the Guest to provide a friendly experience
  • Ensures our Guests' purposes are met when smoothies are ordered
  • Blends smoothie according to the recipe ticket for a consistent taste

Interpersonal Savvy

  • Is able to concisely communicate details about Smoothie King products and information to all Guests
  • Communicates with fellow Team Members and Managers in a positive manner

Patience

  • Is eager to help Guests make a selection when Guests express difficulty with ordering or selecting a smoothie
  • Remains calm with fellow Team Members and Guests during high volume times

Perseverance

  • Completes daily checklist duties
  • Is open to feedback from Team Members, Shift Leads, and/or Managers, then practices and perfects task(s)
  • Approaches tasks with a positive attitude

Time Management

  • Shows up on time for work
  • Balances personal life without interference to their work schedule

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to tolerate exposure to a wide variety of fresh, dried and/or frozen products, and powdered substances, including, but not limited to, strawberries, bananas, peanuts, tree nuts (such as almonds), milk, soy, proteins, trains and spices without posing a direct threat to personal health and safety
  • Ability to follow procedures and willingness to comply with dress code requirements
  • Ability to keep the store clean and follow food safety regulations
  • Ability to operate a blender and POS cashier system
  • Ability to move boxes, weighing up to 55 lbs throughout the store
  • Ability to position self to bend, reach and scoop through assigned shifts
  • Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F

Team Captain Responsibilities :

Must have ServSafe Certification

Composure

  • “Thinks on their feet" at all times regardless of internal or external pressures
  • Informs franchise owner/manager to all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Assists team members at the POS with upselling, voiding, or refunding a transaction

Delegation

  • Ensures positioning is in use and all team members understand assigned positions to maintain efficient store flow/operations
  • Assists in team member management during scheduled shifts, including but not limited to: holding team members accountable to being in proper uniform, reduced phone use, and completing Daily Checklist tasks

Drive For Results

  • Sets the Speed of Service pace for the shift
  • Supports and adheres to operational standards at all times
  • Encourages team members on shift to meet/exceed goals and complete daily checklist tasks

Ethics and Values

  • Fulfills cash handling and inventory reporting responsibilities with honesty
  • Is trusted and relied upon with sensitive information from both their team and franchise owner/manager

  • Ensures self and team demonstrates Serve To Inspire culture for the shift
  • Blends smoothies and smoothie bowls according to the recipe ticket for a consistent taste

  • Talks through and delegates Daily Checklist tasks that need to be completed during the shift with team members

Self-Development

  • Is willing to take on new tasks outside of their role
  • Asks for feedback from franchise owner/manager

Experience Requirements

Guest Service experience in a restaurant or retail environment for 6 or more months

Essential Job Functions

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
