We're looking for a Senior Project Manager with deep expertise in site design to lead civil engineering projects that shape how people live, work, and connect. From commercial sites and mixed-use developments. As a Senior Project Manager specializing in site design, you'll guide the delivery of projects from concept to construction with a focus on technical excellence, creativity, and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of site development projects including grading, layout, utilities, stormwater, and erosion control.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle-technical design, budget, schedule, QA/QC, permitting, and client coordination.
- Prepare proposals and scopes with accurate schedules and fees that reflect a deep understanding of site constraints and opportunities.
- Assign, oversee, and mentor team members including designers, engineers, and CAD technicians to ensure high-quality, efficient work.
- Provide clear, proactive communication with clients throughout each phase-anticipating needs and solving problems collaboratively.
- Secure entitlements and approvals such as rezonings, special use permits, conditional approvals, site plans, and construction documents.
- Participate in construction administration tasks including site observations, RFI responses, and submittal reviews.
- Generate monthly billing and manage subconsultant invoices.
- Support business development efforts by strengthening client relationships and representing the company at local industry events and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- PE licensure (or the ability to obtain within 6 months).
- 8+ years of experience in site/civil design and land development projects.
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and experience preparing full construction drawing sets.
- Expertise in site layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control.
- Strong understanding of local entitlement and permitting processes.
- A proven ability to manage multiple projects while staying organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including experience presenting to Boards and review agencies.
- A desire to lead, mentor, and grow team members while fostering a collaborative culture.
