Automotive Mechanic (Diesel and Gasoline)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine performance and drivability issues for both diesel and gasoline vehicles.
• Oversee and manage a team of mechanics, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Repair and maintain diesel engine systems, brake and suspension systems, and transmission/drivetrain systems.
• Conduct engine repairs and perform advanced engine performance diagnostics.
• Utilize welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, for various automotive applications.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a focus on diesel and gasoline engines.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• ASE Automobile and Light Truck Certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of engine performance, drivability, and diesel engine systems.
• Experience with brake and suspension systems, transmission and drivetrain systems, and preventive maintenance.
• Proficiency in welding setups for production, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Familiarity with light vehicle diesel engines and advanced engine performance diagnostics.
• Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in pneumatics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
