Job Summary**
The Regional Engineering Manager will lead and oversee engineering teams across multiple Jabil sites, focusing on the manufacturing and integration of AI server, rack, and data center infrastructure solutions. This role requires a strong technical leader with expertise in high-volume manufacturing processes, automation, and supply chain optimization within the data center ecosystem.
Job Responsibilities**
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineering professionals across various Jabil manufacturing sites, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the successful execution of engineering projects related to AI server, rack, and data center infrastructure manufacturing, from design फॉर manufacturability (DFM) to mass production.
- Collaborate closely with customers, internal stakeholders (Program Management, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain), and suppliers to define technical requirements, scope projects, and ensure successful product launches.
- Implement and optimize manufacturing processes, including automation, test strategies, and quality control measures, to achieve world-class efficiency, yield, and cost targets.
- Oversee the selection, qualification, and integration of manufacturing equipment and technologies specific to AI server and data center hardware assembly and testing.
- Develop and manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines to meet business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the product lifecycle, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies (e.g., advanced AI accelerators, liquid cooling, high-density server designs), and best practices in data center infrastructure manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience in the manufacturing and integration of server, rack, and data center infrastructure products, including deep understanding of components (CPUs, GPUs, memory, storage, networking), power delivery, thermal management, and physical integration.
- Strong knowledge of AI server architectures and the specific manufacturing challenges associated with high-performance computing and accelerated computing platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing process development, automation, test engineering, and DFM principles.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies relevant to data centers, such as automated assembly, robotic material handling, and sophisticated testing methodologies.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across different regions.
- Ability to travel frequently to various Jabil manufacturing sites and customer locations.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies for process optimization and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry-specific certifications.
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region to support various Jabil sites (up to 75%). When not traveling, work location is required on-site at the home-site location.
