Title: Process Technician

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Wilmington, NC

Description:

Job Obligations/Responsibilities:

• Initiate experiment starts in all plant areas
• Coordinate runs with operations
• Perform small equipment modification
• Experiment setup and run execution
• Manage experimental wareflow for multiple PPD projects
• Support experimental downtime work as applicable
• Coordinate specialized measurements on canes, fiber, or blanks
• Assist with shipments of samples, canes, or blanks
• Candidates with fiber optic experience are preferred, but those willing to learn will receive training.

Required skills:

• Ability to load, unload, and transport blanks on carts
• Attention to detail
• Ability to have flexibility in work assignments
• Self motivated, proactive, and self directed
• Computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Equipment work

Desired skills:

• Team player and able to work with a broad range of people
• Understands and follows client's safety policies
• Skilled in Client equipment operation
• Interested in development and experimentation
• Enjoys change and willing to share ideas

Education

• Associate Degree OR High School Diploma with (3 -5 yrs of exp) in Equipment or Manufacturing
