Job Summary

Every great sushi bar experience has a heartbeat — a chef whose precision, creativity, and hospitality set the tone for the entire dining experience. Eurest is looking for a talented Sushi Chef to bring that energy to our corporate dining team. This is more than a production role: you'll design and own the full guest experience, from impeccable knife work to the warm, engaging service that keeps people coming back for more.

What You'll Do

  • Design, manage, and own the overall sushi experience — not just the offerings
  • Bring genuine passion for quality food preparation and exceptional taste to every roll and plate
  • Build and maintain menu standards, production/prep guides, and opening/closing checklists for your department
  • Manage ordering and inventory for all department-dedicated products
  • Partner with the Catering department to deliver sushi and culturally authentic menu offerings
  • Set the tone for hospitality that's genuinely friendly and engaging
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to grow their skills and confidence
  • Collaborate with the District Chef to ensure company guidelines are implemented and upheld
  • Champion a culture of food and workplace safety, including HACCP compliance
  • Accurately complete and log required QA checks via the Procurant device per company food safety standards
  • Treat every guest and colleague with professionalism, care, and respect
  • Communicate honestly, accurately, and promptly with leadership

What You Bring

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in upscale sushi operations
  • Proven experience preparing and producing sushi in high-volume settings
  • Supervisory, leadership, coaching, training, and management skills
  • Excellent, precise knife skills
  • A self-starter mindset — innovative, adaptable, and skilled at multitasking
  • A positive attitude that motivates and energizes your team
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP controls, proper food storage, and safe handling principles
  • A finger on the pulse of current culinary and food trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • The highest standards of personal integrity and ethical conduct
  • Valid ServSafe certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
