Job Title: Machine Operator I
Location: Mebane, NC
Pay Rate: $19.50/hr
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Duration: Contract (12 Months)
Job Overview
We are hiring a Machine Operator I to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves operating equipment, performing basic production tasks, and ensuring quality and compliance with standard procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery
- Perform routine production tasks including filling, assembling, labeling, and packaging
- Conduct basic quality inspections and identify defects
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP, and safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1–2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and follow instructions and specifications
- Basic math and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed
Preferred Skills
- Experience in GMP/FDA/ISO-regulated environment
- Prior experience in production, packaging, or assembly
- Strong attention to detail
