Title: Software Engineer Location: 1414 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28203 Duties: Design, code, enhance, and test software applications to meet business process requirements. Contribute to ongoing feature development of web applications based on service-oriented architecture, involving UI, Services and databases. Work with development team leads (Lead Software Engineers) on technical and architectural direction of projects. Research, analyze, design, and deliver solutions that are appropriate for business and application development strategies. Work with cross functional, globally dispersed development teams to support development efforts to meet business requirements. Design and develop new projects and enhancements based on evolving business needs. Interact with internal users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of software. Develop user interface and overall user experience of ARIE and CML Library application. Create responsive and interactive web pages. Design and implement unit test cases to achieve test coverage and follow test-driven development (TDD) practices. Implement REST-based web APIs. Develop robust and scalable APIs that support CRUD operations and business logic, ensuring they follow RESTful principles and are well- documented. Integrate backend services with other internal services using message brokers or other integration patterns. Use PostgreSQL to store and retrieve application data, writing efficient SQL queries for data manipulation. Implement and configure email services to send notifications based on application events. Implement Kafka consumers to listen for specific events and trigger web API jobs. Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a Technical Associate, Technical Consultant, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: architecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to support enhancements and bug fixes in existing and new applications; applying knowledge of Multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment for applications development; working with C#, .NET Core framework, PostgreSQL, GitHub, GitActions, Bit Bucket, Confluence, Jenkins, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, JSON, and REST APIs; working with open source code and frameworks; and using build tools and GIT. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $154,669 to $169,000/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
