Senior Field Service Technician
Service Manager Your role and responsibilities As a Senior Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and service to our customers. You will perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The work model for the role is: Remote #LI-Remote This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power business in North Carolina . You will be mainly accountable for:
- Applying safety rules and safe practices, as well as environmental responsibilities during all service activities.
- Leading Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities at customer sites and reporting unsafe practices and incidents to ensure a safe working environment.
- Identifying new service business opportunities in close cooperation with customers and ABB teams.
- Coaching technicians and engineers, and supervising complex site activities and developing, mentoring, and providing technical guidance to colleagues. Acting as a trainer when needed, for both team members and customers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 4+ years' experience servicing critical power equipment OR Associates Degree in electrical technology with 6+ years' experience in servicing critical power equipment OR High School Diploma/GED and equivalent work and/or military experience (8+ years) servicing critical power equipment.
- Advanced level ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) information to varying levels within the organization.
- Advanced level of ability to use Microsoft Office products.
- Moderate ability to Project Manage using MS Project or Excel.
- Advanced ability to write test plans and reports detailing test results.
- Advanced ability to stay organized and meet deadlines on administrative duties.
