• Location: Hickory, NC 28601 – Experience life in a welcoming city in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, known for its friendly community, scenic parks, and thriving arts scene.
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 07:00 – 19:00 (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1660–$1700
• Call Requirements: 7 days per month, including some weekends
• Unit: Operating Room (OR) – 13 beds
• Patient Population: Primarily adults; minimal outpatient pediatrics
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Scrubs: Provided via hospital scrub machine

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (ADN or BSN accepted)
• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
• Experience with surgical robotics (Da Vinci, Mako) and advanced OR equipment preferred
• Ability to take call as scheduled, including weekends
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must reside at least 60 miles from Hickory, NC to qualify for travel nurse status

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring safety and optimal surgical outcomes
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative healthcare team to provide high-quality care
• Operate and maintain advanced surgical equipment, including robotics and specialty tables
• Document patient care accurately in the Cerner EHR system
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
• Respond to call assignments as scheduled, including some weekends
