Summary

The Flexographic Printing Plate Mounter is responsible for the complete printing plate mounting process from start to finish. Plates are mounted on customer specified carrier, proofed, and verified for accuracy. Printing plates are mounted and registered using a cylinder mounting proofer.

Responsibilities

• Manually mount photopolymer printing plates onto appropriate carriers using cylinder mounting system.
• Proof printing plates for accuracy and confirm quality standards have met customer specifications.
• Assist the photopolymer plate maker when required with taping, cutting, and staging printing plates for mounting.
• Looks at artwork and works closely with the art team and manager for any printability issues that may occur before or during production.
• Work closely with art team, supervisor, and management for any related scheduling or quality concerns.
• Box completed printing plates and prepare for shipping.
• Capable of troubleshooting printing issues both on and off the cylinder.
• Great at problem solving, communications skills, attention to detail, highly motivated individual, and works well without direct supervision.
• Lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more).

What We Need From You

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience mounting flexographic plates.
• Previous work in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Basic mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to lift at minimum 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
