What You'll Be Doing

Maternal and Child Health is one of the largest sections within public health. As a MCH Tech, this person will provide administrative and case management support to the Maternal and Child Health Section by coordinating permanent family planning appointments and participating in child injury prevention outreach events. This position with oversee client appointments with third party vendors and completed daily birth record data entry.

The Maternal and Child Health Technician is responsible for:
Administrative & Operational Tasks
Perform accurate and timely data entry for program and client records
Handle cash transactions in accordance with agency policies
Schedule and manage client appointments
Maintain organized files, forms, and documentation
Support daily office operations within the Maternal & Child Health Section
Participate in Childhood Injury prevention events
Provide coordination and consultations for permanent family planning program (Vasectomy)
Support bilingual communication when applicable

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
High school diploma or GED
One year of job-related experience
Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
Associate's degree in human services, Office Administration or related field
Spanish language skills are strongly preferred
Two years of experience in increasingly responsible data entry work
Advanced skills across Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis; Word templates and mail merge; PowerPoint presentation design; and strong use of Teams/SharePoint
Experience working in government, human services, or public health environments
Experience with car seat education and/or other child safety areas
Experience working with Athena, EPIC, EMR, Chart creation, Scheduling and cash handling

Employment Type: Regular

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:15pm

Hiring Range: 25.07-28.13

Market Range: 25.07 - 31.18
