Office Technician
STV has an immediate need for an Office Technician in the Winston-Salem, NC area to support NCDOT Division Project Development unit staff.
Job Responsibilities
Support NCDOT Division Project Development unit staff providing administrative and technical support tasks for highway and bridge projects. More specifically:
Manage various office and administrative tasks within NCDOT Division Project Development unit
Assist in preparation of contract documents, bidding/award process, purchase order creation, and contract execution
Collect and edit reports, proposals, and consultant submittals
Review and process invoices
Monitor funding, contract, and purchase order balances to prevent overdrafts
Prepare various documents and reports as directed
Receive inquiries from citizens and other external customers and coordinate with Project Development staff to provide timely responses
Specific Requirements
A high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) diploma, or equivalent is required
Min of 4 years of related experience
Strong computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Experience reviewing detailed documents and records for accuracy and completeness
Experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports
Experience interpreting and/or explaining policies, procedures, and laws
Data entry experience
Compensation Range:
