How you will make history here…

  • As the Operational Excellence Engineer, you won’t just support change—you’ll lead it. You’ll make history by unlocking capacity in one of Campbell’s most critical manufacturing sites, driving high-impact projects that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and deliver measurable savings. Your ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, challenge the status quo, and influence across all levels—from the plant floor to senior leadership—will set a new standard for operational excellence.

  • You’ll be a key player in shaping the future of our Aseptic and Soup operations, helping us scale smarter and faster. Your work will not only improve today’s performance—it will build the foundation for tomorrow’s growth.

What you will do…

We are seeking a results-driven Operational Excellence Engineer to join our high-performing team at our Maxton facility. This role is critical to driving continuous improvement initiatives across high-impact workstreams in both our Aseptic and Soup operations. You will lead cross-functional projects, analyze performance data, and implement sustainable solutions that unlock capacity, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable savings.

This is a high-visibility role with exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to make a significant impact from day one.

  • Lead and execute OpEx projects focused on yield improvement, cost savings, and process optimization.

  • Analyze operational data (e.g., Zarpac, DDS boards, KPIs) to identify trends and root causes.

  • Facilitate and lead Kaizen events (1–3 per month) and continuous improvement workshops.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Operations.

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, including VPs of Operations.

  • Support daily direction setting (DDS) and drive accountability through floor engagement.

  • Build and mentor project teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges.

Who will you work with…

In this role, you’ll be embedded within a dynamic Operational Excellence team consisting of three IC-level engineers, each assigned to major workstreams across the Maxton plant. Reporting to the Associate Director, Site Operational Excellence, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Operations, as well as interface with hourly team members on the floor through a dotted-line relationship.

  • You’ll also engage with senior leadership, including the VP of Operations, and contribute to high-visibility initiatives that span both Aseptic and Soup production areas. Your ability to influence across levels—without formal authority—will be key to your success.

What sets your team apart?

  • This Operational Excellence team stands out as a true engine of transformation within Campbell’s. With a strong foundation of tools, a collaborative culture, and a clear strategic vision, the team is known for its growth mindset, bias for action, and ability to lead change from the ground up.

  • Rather than waiting for direction, team members are empowered to create it—solving real problems in real time and driving measurable impact. They thrive in complexity, embrace healthy challenge, and turn data into decisions that elevate performance. Their work doesn’t just improve processes—it shapes the future of Campbell’s manufacturing.

  • Future of the business - The Maxton facility is at the forefront of growth, with a clear focus on unlocking capacity and driving operational excellence.
