THERE ARE THREE SHIFTS AVAILABLE
1st Shift - 7AM to 3:00 PM
2nd Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
3rd Shift 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
The main job objective encompasses the measuring, slitting, and rolling of finished fabrics, as well as preparing these materials for shipment through proper packing procedures. This role emphasizes technical expertise and individual contribution to the operational process.
Responsibilities
- 1. Keep the area around the machine clean and safe to work in
- 2. Retrieve and position full A-frames at the slitter
- 3. Inspect the cutting blades for proper operation
- 4. Monitor the exact slit dimensions (measure and set)
- 5. Set the specified roll length
- 8. Assemble boxes for packaging
- 9. Place slit fabric into boxes
- 10. Record the required data in the SAP, and properly identify the boxes with printed labels on top and
- side
- 11. Assist in any area requested by manager at any time
Skills
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
