Wheelchair Agents (RDU Airport)

The Guardian Professional Services Airline Wheelchair Agents play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and comfortable travel experience for passengers with mobility challenges. This position involves providing assistance to individuals requiring wheelchair services at the airport, ensuring their needs are met from check-in to boarding and beyond.

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a compassionate demeanor, making them an essential part of the airline's commitment to accessibility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist passengers with mobility challenges in navigating the airport, including check-in, security, and boarding processes.
• Safely operate wheelchairs and transport passengers to their designated locations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Collaborate with airline staff and security personnel to ensure a seamless travel experience for all passengers.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of wheelchairs and related equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while assisting passengers in the airport environment.

Skills:

• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people.
• Prior experience in delivery driving, valet, healthcare, courier services, or food service is beneficial for understanding customer needs and providing assistance effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to convey information clearly to passengers and team members.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to assist passengers and navigate the airport efficiently throughout shifts.

This role is vital in enhancing the travel experience for those who require additional support, making it both rewarding and impactful within the airline industry.

Pay rate: $12.50/hr with additional daily earnings from gratuities.
Job type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 hours per week, with overtime and gratuity opportunities daily. These are not shared tips.
