Procurement Category Manager, Marketing & Sales (M&S) – Procurement – Raleigh, NC, USA
Are you ready to lead innovative strategy implementations and drive transformational change in procurement within JTI’s North America Cluster? We’re seeking a strategic thinker to create sustainable value and strengthen stakeholder partnerships.
Your Role and Purpose
As a Procurement Category Manager – Marketing and Sales (M&S) , reporting to the Cluster Category Manager – M&S, you’ll support the design of and implement procurement strategies in North America, fostering innovation, sustainability, and value creation. You'll manage supplier relationships and drive solutions that align with our business goals.
What Will You Do?
- Drive strategic category management and innovation ensuring alignment with local and global company objectives;
- Lead supplier relationships and risk management;
- Deliver procurement targets through data-driven decisions;
- Foster stakeholder partnerships across functions;
- Monitor market trends and provide strategic insights;
- Drives ad-hoc cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For? The 2 Cs:
- Skills:
- Procurement experience – minimum of 5 years in a strategic sourcing role, preferably in a CPG global company;
- Strategic and innovative mindset
- Strong analytical and financial capabilities
- Business, finance and supplier contracts acumen
- Outstanding negotiation skills
- Business-level English language skills (additional languages are a plus)
- University degree in Finance, Supply Chain, or Procurement
- Experience working with marketing and sales departments is considered an asset
- Ability to work under limited supervision, exercise independent judgment and consistently meet deadlines
