Senior R Programmer - Contract - Wilmington, DE
Proclinical is seeking a Senior R Programmer to join a dedicated team supporting in-house study activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK-PD) and eager to contribute to impactful research in gene therapy and pharmaceuticals.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to the clinical PK-PD department, leveraging your advanced R programming skills to meet both internal and external needs. You will play a key role in data preparation, analysis, visualization, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Advanced R programming skills, including experience with tidyverse, ggplot2, Markdown, Quarto, and Shiny. Python and/or SAS programming skills are a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of CDISC standards, including SEND, SDTM, and ADaM.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial data and hands-on experience in data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarity with PK-PD concepts and related programming is highly desirable.
- Experience visualizing and presenting data for internal stakeholders or clients.
- Ability to implement advanced modeling and statistical procedures as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with a drive to learn and master new techniques and technologies.
The Senior R Programmer's responsibilities will be:
- Prepare and clean raw clinical trial data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency for PK-PD analysis.
- Develop custom R programming code to generate summary tables, data listings, graphs, and derived datasets as specified in statistical analysis plans and programming specifications.
- Perform descriptive and statistical analyses of PK-PD data using R or Rmarkdown.
- Create clear and informative visualizations, including graphs and tables, to effectively communicate PK-PD findings.
- Ensure data formatting aligns with CDISC standards for regulatory submissions.
- Conduct thorough validation checks on programming code and analysis results to maintain data integrity.
- Identify problems and develop tools to enhance the efficiency and capacity of the Clinical PK-PD Programming group.
