Process Engineer

We are a seeking a passionate and skilled individual to take on an exciting opportunity as a Process Engineer, who will be responsible for evaluation of existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Includes engineering and project management duties as required to improve manufacturing capability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the optimization of production processes. Lead investigations into continuous improvement issues and specific quality incidents requiring creative engineering solutions. Develop and lead targeted technical training for operators in both theory and practical applications for new process improvements and new equipment. Responsible for the design and installation of both new process equipment and other engineering installations, to improve efficiency and productivity. Selection of corporate vendors/contractors and bid preparation for process and project work. Maintenance of documentation and engineered drawings of process and equipment in support of projects and quality incidents. Development of project schedules and timelines for project management. Development of timely process safety management reviews. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

BS Degree in an Engineering field. (Chemical Engineering preferred).

EXPERIENCE:

3+ years of related experience and training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to analyze written information, such as procedures, against practice in order to propose change. Ability to write procedures and work instructions. Ability to present information and respond to questions from peers, supervisors and managers within the organization. Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, internal customers and in some cases external customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
