Job Title: Technical Analyst - POS Systems
Location-Type: Hybrid – onsite 2–3 days/week in Carlisle, PA; Mauldin, SC; Quincy, MA; Scarborough, ME; Salisbury, NC; or Chicago, IL

Duration: 3–4 months, Contract-to-Hire
Compensation Range: $60-65/hr W2

Job Description:
Own the end-to-end delivery, integration, configuration, testing, and support of complex retail POS and payment solutions across multiple platforms, payment switches, terminals, and tender types.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end retail payment integrations from the POS/pin pad through payment switches and processors.
• Configure, integrate, implement, and support POS and payment solutions across multiple platforms.
• Deliver new payment capabilities, enhancements, maintenance, and PCI/compliance-related initiatives.
• Work directly with POS and payment software vendors to receive code, configure solutions, and support deployments.
• Deploy code and configuration into internal lab environments for validation.
• Perform smoke testing and basic functionality testing before formal QA.
• Troubleshoot payment transactions, integrations, configurations, and production issues.
• Support APIs and real-time payment/adjudication integrations.
• Partner with QA, retail operations, and business teams for testing, demos, and UAT.
• Support store rollouts, training, post-production issues, and major payment-related escalations.
• Create technical documentation, knowledge-base materials, and support knowledge transfer.
• Participate in incident triage, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex production issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant POS, payments, systems analysis, or technology delivery experience.
• Hands-on retail POS payments experience in a corporate retail environment.
• Experience implementing, configuring, deploying, testing, and supporting payment capabilities.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end payment ecosystem, including POS devices, payment switches, processors, authorization flows, and payment integrations.
• Direct experience working with POS and payment vendors.
• Ability to perform hands-on smoke testing, functionality testing, troubleshooting, and configuration validation.
• Experience supporting multiple payment or tender types such as credit/debit, EBT, WIC, SNAP, gift cards, HSA/FSA, OTC, healthy-benefit cards, or digital wallets.
• Experience with APIs and system integrations.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to own solutions beyond requirements gathering through implementation and production support.
• SQL and/or scripting experience for transaction validation, troubleshooting, or system support.

• Grocery retail experience.
• Pharmacy, fuel/convenience, or other complex retail payments experience.
• Experience with ACI Retail Commerce Server.
• Experience with Client Connected Payments technologies such as OpenEPS, ServerEPS, WebEPS, or Common Client.
• Experience with Verifone or Ingenico payment terminals.
• Experience with Client Storeline, Emerald, Toshiba ACE, or similar POS platforms.
• PIN pad configuration, key management, or estate management experience.
• Familiarity with PCI compliance and payment security standards.
• Experience with modernization or payment platform migration initiatives.
• Agile or product-based delivery experience.
