Job Summary:

Join us in our state-of-the-art train manufacturing facility in Lexington, NC, where Siemens Mobility advances passenger rail systems. As a Rail Systems Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be integral to the assembly and installation of electrical and mechanical components in a bustling production environment, creating electrical systems for world-class rail systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Assemble parts for passenger coaches, such as roofs, cable harnesses, and panel systems.
  • Connect components using wiring to complete electrical systems.
  • Tailor wire lengths according to specifications and secure appropriately.
  • Perform component modifications, refurbishments, and reassembly.
  • Follow technical instructions and utilize diagrams for precise assembly tasks.
  • Utilize fine motor skills for detailed assembly work with high precision.

To Excel in this Role, You Should Have:

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with electrical panel assembly, construction, or automotive fields.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical assembly operations.
  • Basic command of English written and verbal skills.
  • Competence in reading technical blueprints and diagrams.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent engagement in physical activities such as walking and reaching, including occasional crawling.
  • Capability to work in overhead environments.
  • Occasional lifting and handling of weights up to 40 pounds.
  • Visual skills critical for task performance, including color and depth perception.
