Job Title : Transportation & Valet Attendant
Reports To: Member Services Director
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Full-time, seasonal
Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers.
Mountaintop’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.
Position Summary : To effectively provide vehicle parking and transportation services to our members, guests, and employees in a friendly, courteous, timely manner and to preserve Mountaintop Standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities the transportation & valet attendant duties and responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:
- Ensure that all members and their guests are greeted promptly upon arrival to the Clubhouse.
- Ensure that all amenities are in order and ready to be presented to our members and guests and maintain this standard throughout the day.
- Must have complete knowledge of operating motor vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Should be able to run in order to perform the task in a timely manner.
- Should be able to lift and handle equipment and items not to exceed 50lb at a time.
- Possess good knowledge of Mountaintop, including services and amenities offered at our club.
- Knowledge and adherence to all uniform and grooming requirements as stated in the uniform section of policies and procedures.
- Knowledge and adherence to all schedules, staff privileges, policies, and mandatory staff meetings.
- Polite and courteous telephone conduct as it is a direct reflection of the club and should always be handled with the highest degree of professionalism.
- Maintain effective channels of communication with the members, supervisors, managers, co-workers, guests, vendors, and all other business contacts.
- Use equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner; follow common sense safety in all the job activities.
- Conduct oneself in a manner reflecting credit to the Club and encourage others to do the same.
- Complete assignments on or ahead of schedule.
- Interpret, learn, and respond to instructions for new situations, procedures, or methods.
- Show daily ability to be at work at scheduled time, including being prepared to work on time after breaks, meal periods, and other authorized absences from work
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from members, guests, employees, and managers.
- Must be even tempered and team spirited. A good sense of humor is desirable.
- Work various hours, holidays, weekends, and long hours on feet. (Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day are required)
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
