You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and other authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a correctional government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization, and document visitor, vehicle, and activity information in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Maintain awareness of the working environment, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
