Sr. Financial Analyst - Consumer Banking
- Support the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial performance packages, including Profit & Loss and balance sheet results for Consumer Banking.
- Analyze variances versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key drivers and trends.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of management reporting and dashboards to improve visibility into business performance.
- Prepare financial summaries, commentary, and presentations for Consumer Banking leadership and senior management reviews.
- Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes across business units.
- Maintain and update financial models that incorporate key business drivers, volume assumptions, and pricing impacts.
- Assist business partners with planning inputs and scenario analysis to evaluate potential business outcomes.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support product, line of business, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate business cases, initiatives, and investment opportunities.
- Conduct peer or trend-based analysis to provide internal and external performance context.
- Leverage Excel and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI or similar) to deliver actionable insights.
- Assist in improving financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency through automation and standardization.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and analyses.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or financial reporting, preferably within banking, financial services, or a related industry.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerPoint required.
- Experience with business intelligence or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise insights and recommendations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both finance and business partners.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated attention to detail while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
$77,390.00 - $127,139.75 Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate's experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
