We are seeking dedicated Residential Counselors / Youth Mentors to support students in our residential treatment program during 2nd shift hours . This role is ideal for individuals with experience in youth mentoring, direct care, behavioral health, or counseling who are passionate about helping young people succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure student safety through active supervision, monitoring, and engagement.
  
• Support students emotionally and environmentally by following individualized treatment plans.
  
• Apply the agency’s crisis intervention model , including safe physical restraint techniques if absolutely necessary.
  
• Attend weekly team meetings with Cottage Manager and program clinician to review student progress, group dynamics, and areas of growth.
  
• Complete pre-shift planning and follow established schedules for meals, laundry, and evening routines.
  
• Participate in post-shift debriefings to share updates and ensure smooth transitions.
  
• Maintain required mental health and program documentation within compliance standards (training provided).
  
• Communicate effectively with guardians, residential staff, and other agency professionals.
  
• Build supportive relationships with students to promote self-awareness, personal growth, and lasting change .
  
• Facilitate student processing sessions under the agency’s therapeutic model.
  
• Safely transport students between locations using an agency vehicle, as needed.

• At least 21 years old
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• High School Diploma or GED
• Agree to a Background Screening and Drug Test upon hire
• Possess a valid NC Drivers License
