Telemetry RN Job Details – Asheville, NC

• Location: Asheville, NC (28801)
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry (D2, 2nd Floor)
• Job Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Scrub Color: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, or all white
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1840

Telemetry RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent progressive care and telemetry nursing experience
• Telemetry competency and clinical skills
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and step-down patients in a fast-paced, inpatient overflow unit
• Monitor and manage telemetry equipment; ensure all patients are hardwired to bedside monitors as indicated
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including charge nurses, CNAs, and other RNs
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5/1:6, adapting to varying levels of care
• Provide compassionate, patient-focused care with a positive attitude
• Participate in quick patient turnover and manage short-stay (24-hour LOS) cases
• Float to other units within the facility as required
