Maintenance Technician (Multicraft)

Location: Asheville, NC

Shift: 2nd or 3rd Shift (8-hour shifts)

Pay: $28–$32/hour + shift differential

Overview

A large, well-established manufacturing facility in the Asheville area is seeking an experienced Multicraft Maintenance Technician to join its team. This is a high-volume production environment with approximately 600 employees on site. The facility features extensive welding operations, CNC equipment, and automated machinery.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who thrives in a fast-paced industrial setting and has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines, automated production equipment, and welding systems

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

• Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

• Support installation and startup of new equipment

• Perform basic fabrication and welding as needed

• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation

• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

• Multicraft experience (mechanical & electrical required)

• Experience working with CNC machinery and automation systems

• Strong troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, and controls

• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift
