This position reports to:
Senior Production Engineering Specialist

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC

Your role and responsibilities:

• Build, assemble, and install custom carts, racks, and material handling equipment
• Perform basic to intermediate welding and fabrication tasks
• Use hand and power tools daily (grinders, drills, saws, calipers, etc.)
• Operate a forklift to move materials and finished structures as needed
• Modify and repair existing equipment to support production needs
• Work from basic drawings, sketches, or instructions (no design required)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by physically building and implementing solutions
• Maintain tools and ensure a safe and organized work area
• Assist with general maintenance and shop support as needed
• Responds to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.

Qualifications for the role:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in hands-on manufacturing, assembly, fabrication OR maintenance role
• Experience in assembly and building structures or equipment
• Welding experience required (basic to intermediate)
• Experience operating a forklift (or willingness to be trained)
• Strong experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to read basic drawings or follow instructions
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required
