Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Onsite Product Owner with strong expertise in the Mortgage and/or Insurance domain to work directly with client stakeholders in a regulated financial services environment.

This role requires hands-on requirement elicitation, backlog ownership, Agile coordination with offshore teams, and deep understanding of industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary onsite Product Owner and client point of contact .

• Lead in-person requirement discovery workshops and stakeholder meetings.

• Translate business, operational, and regulatory requirements into clear epics and user stories.

• Define detailed acceptance criteria aligned with compliance requirements.

Agile Backlog & Delivery Management

• Own and prioritize the product backlog within an Agile/Scrum framework.

• Support sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate closely with offshore development teams to ensure delivery alignment.

• Drive UAT coordination, release readiness, and client sign-off processes.

Regulatory & Domain Compliance

• Ensure alignment with relevant regulations such as:

  • TRID

  • RESPA

  • HMDA

  • NAIC

• Incorporate compliance requirements into product features and documentation.

Communication & Risk Management

• Communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies to client stakeholders.

• Facilitate issue resolution across business and technical teams.

• Ensure transparency and accountability across workstreams.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Management roles .

• Strong hands-on experience in Mortgage and/or Insurance domains .

• Proven experience in onsite, client-facing delivery environments .

• Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies .

• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps , or similar.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or other Agile certifications.

• Experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Policy Administration, or Claims systems .

• Background in consulting or system integration environments.
