Plastic Inndustry Production Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Plastic Industry Production Engineer to join our dynamic team in Oxford, NC. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing our production processes, ensuring high-quality output, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize production processes for plastic manufacturing.
- Conduct regular assessments of production efficiency and quality control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices and new technologies.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in production engineering within the plastic and thermoforming industry.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
Proficient in using engineering software and tools for process design and analysis.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.
You should be proficient in:
- Equipment Troubleshooting
- Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
- Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA)
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Basic Computer Skills
