Real Estate Paralegal (In-Office Position)

Preferred candiate will have at minimum 10 years of related Commercial Real Estate experience.
The paralegal is responsible for searching title, preparing documentation necessary to real estate matters, including purchases, sales, loans, closings, leases and other matters, along with preparing settlement statements and performing title updates. This may also include performing full title searches, reviewing title, surveys, amendments, leases, subleases or purchase agreements. Essential job functions include:

•Coordinate due diligence for a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including, but not limited to: purchase, sale and loan closings and commercial leasing for retail, office, industrial and apartment developments.
•Search title, prepare title opinions and summarize title commitments and surveys.
•Work closely with title companies to clear adverse title matters and obtain title policies.
•Perform and summarize UCC, judgment, tax and other lien searches.
•Prepare and file a variety of documents, including but not limited to: deeds, deeds of trust, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, bills of sale, affidavits of title, and transfer documents.
•Coordinate and facilitate closings, including preparation of closing checklist and binders, coordination of closing calendar, and follow-up on post-closing matters.
•Organize and produce final document deliverables for clients, opposing counsel, and real estate attorneys.
•Assist with formations of LLC’s, partnerships, and other entities, including but not limited to electronic filings, obtaining Employer Identification Numbers and complying with the Corporate Transparency Act.
•Obtain good standing and existence certificates and similar material from Secretary of State or other appropriate governmental offices.
•Independently organize and manage files or delegate similar tasks to appropriate support staff.
Requirements:
•Paralegal Certificate from ABA approved program preferred; significant, substantive related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
•2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions preferred.
•Proficiency with title and survey review preferred.
•Experience representing borrowers and developers preferred.
•Ability to examine, evaluate and summarize large quantities of information.
•Proficiency with MS Office 365 Suite, SoftPro and document management software.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond in a timely and professional manner to high client and attorney demands.
•Ability to interact effectively and professionally and provide exceptional service, internally and externally, at all times.
•Highly organized, able to prioritize workflow and manage projects independently.
•Ability to work collaboratively within a team; ability and inclination to adapt to changing business demands, willingness to train others.
•Ability to produce acceptable amount of work efficiently and accurately; ability to produce quality final work product.
