AO is seeking motivated, service-driven professionals to join our growing virtual team as  Remote Member Protection Consultants . You'll work with individuals and families, including veterans, labor union members, credit union members, association members, and their families, helping them understand available supplemental insurance benefits and make informed decisions about protecting what matters most.

This opportunity combines  member service, benefits education, relationship building, and consultative insurance sales  in a fully remote environment.

No previous insurance experience is required.  We provide comprehensive training, mentorship, licensing guidance, and ongoing professional development.

What You'll Do

As a  Member Protection Consultant , you'll connect with members through scheduled virtual appointments to understand their needs, explain available benefits, and provide ongoing service.

Member Consultations & Benefits Education

  • Conduct virtual consultations through Zoom and phone
  • Connect with members seeking information regarding available benefits
  • Identify individual and family financial protection needs
  • Explain supplemental life, accident, and health insurance options
  • Answer questions regarding coverage, policy features, and available benefits
  • Provide needs-based recommendations
  • Guide members through applications and enrollment
  • Assist with required documentation

Ongoing Member Service

Your role continues beyond the initial enrollment.

You'll help members with:

  • Policy reviews
  • Coverage questions
  • Beneficiary information updates
  • Policy and account service needs
  • Claims-related guidance
  • Follow-up communication
  • Changes in family protection needs

The goal is to build  long-term relationships based on trust, professionalism, and exceptional service .

Weekly Pay & Performance-Based Compensation

This is a  commission-based opportunity rather than a traditional hourly or salaried position .

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Be physically located within the United States
  • Hold or be willing and able to obtain the appropriate  state Life & Health Insurance License
  • Have access to a computer or laptop with webcam capability
  • Maintain reliable high-speed internet
  • Have microphone capability
  • Maintain a quiet, professional home workspace
  • Be comfortable meeting members virtually
  • Be willing to complete required training

Licensing guidance is provided for candidates who are not currently licensed.

Interview Process

Qualified applicants will first complete a  brief career overview  designed to provide additional information about the role, responsibilities, compensation structure, licensing requirements, and career path.
