Cloud Security Specialist

Hybrid 3 on in Charlotte, NC

Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Cloud Security Specialist to fill a 12+ month W-2 contract position (with likely perm conversion) in Charlotte, NC. This position requires hybrid work with three days a week onsite. Candidates must be local to the Charlotte metro area and able to convert a permanent visa without a visa transfer or sponsorship.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $62.00 to $67.00/hr. w2

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure including network security, firewalls, and encryption.
• Establish and maintain compliance with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2 and internal security policies.
• Monitor cloud environments for unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and anomalies and lead incident response activities.
• Define, manage, and audit IAM policies to enforce least-privilege access across cloud platforms.
• Perform security assessments, penetration testing, and audits of cloud configurations to mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to drive transparency and security throughout the cloud lifecycle.
• Harden multi-cloud architectures and apply best practices for workload isolation and segmentation.

• Experience consulting, designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls in AWS, Azure, and GCP (AWS top priority).
• Experience securing multi-cloud architectures and managing IAM with least-privilege enforcement.
• Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and leading incident response in cloud environments.
• Experience ensuring regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
• Eligibility and willingness to convert to full-time employment if required.
