• Job Title: Surgical Technologist – Travel Contract (Operating Room)
• Location: Asheville, NC 28801
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/12/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800-$2040
• Scrubs: Provided by facility
• EMR System: Cerner
• Schedule: Variable, call required

Surgical Tech Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital operating room
• Comprehensive surgical experience in general, gynecology (GYN), robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma cases
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) certification preferred
• Ability to float to other hospital departments as needed
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Surgical Tech Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and operating room staff during diverse surgical procedures
• Maintain and prepare a sterile surgical environment in the OR
• Handle and care for surgical instruments and equipment according to best practices
• Promote patient safety and positive clinical outcomes
• Accurately document surgical procedures and patient information in Cerner EMR
• Participate in on-call rotations and adapt to variable scheduling requirements
