RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume emergency department with over 100,000 visits annually
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling requirement
• Float within all sections of the emergency department (no floating outside ED)
• Work with 101-bed emergency department
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• 2 years nursing experience required with at least 1 year emergency room experience
• Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Use Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Document in Cerner system
• Follow AIDET protocols and maintain respectful patient interactions
• Navy scrubs required uniform
