Responsibilities
• Collaborating and assisting Project Engineers in conducting lab experiments and collecting data
• Assist in the fabrication, building and testing of prototype equipment thus furthering the R&D process.
• Setup and testing of automation systems.
• Conduct routine and specialized tests and experiments using Engineering specifications.
• Design and develop test methods: Create and implement test methods, practices, and protocols for assemblies.
• Build and assemble products, sub-assemblies, and components.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Ensure products comply with applicable construction, design and safety standards.
• Meet with vendors to find alternative components / sources for new and existing products.
• Record and analyze data, generating detailed reports.
• Ensure laboratory safety by following established protocols and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
• Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and order replacements as needed.
• Collaborate with other laboratory personnel to ensure efficient operations.
• Assist in the training of new lab personnel.
Requirements and Skills
• Proven experience as a Lab Technician or similar role in a laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and laboratory best practices.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
Education and / or experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Background in Fabrication, Electrical, or demonstrated experience in determining inner workings, or mechanics of a product
