Role and Responsibilities
The Product Manager plays a key role in leading the day-to-day execution and long-term strategy for the organization’s core member-facing and operational technology products. This individual will drive sprint planning, product roadmap development, and cross-functional alignment across claims, eligibility, the member portal, and the member mobile app. With a focus on user experience, innovation, and seamless system integration, the Product Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to ensure that product solutions are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
Product Strategy & Roadmap
· Define and maintain product roadmaps for claims automation, eligibility workflows, and member-facing digital tools.
· Align product goals with business objectives and compliance requirements.
· Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to set priorities for internal (sales, operations, finance) and external constituents (brokers, employers, members)
Sprint Planning & Execution
· Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and demos.
· Manage backlog prioritization and ensure clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
· Track sprint velocity and delivery metrics to continuously improve team performance.
Member Portal & Mobile App
· Own the end-to-end experience for the member portal and mobile app, including login flows, claims submission, direct deposit setup, and wellness content delivery.
· Monitor app analytics and member feedback to drive iterative improvements.
Claims & Eligibility
· Oversee product features that support automated claims processing and eligibility file integration.
· Work with engineering and data teams to improve throughput and reduce manual interventions.
· Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI, and other regulatory standards.
Testing & Quality Assurance
· Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles for all major releases across claims, eligibility, member portal, and mobile app.
· Define UAT scope, test scenarios, and success criteria in collaboration with engineering, and business stakeholders.
· Facilitate UAT planning meetings, manage tester assignments, and ensure timely feedback collection.
· Monitor defect trends and coordinate with engineering to prioritize and resolve issues.
· Ensure that member-facing products meet usability, accessibility, and performance standards across devices and platforms.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
· Strong understanding of project management and requirement definition
· Experience with claims systems, eligibility file processing, and member-facing digital platforms.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, and analytics platforms.
Preferred Skills:
· Background in healthcare administration or benefits technology.
· Experience with EDI, SFTP, and secure data exchange protocols.
· Knowledge of mobile app development and member engagement strategies.
