Warehouse Worker
Full-Time Position (Day Shift) Hours: Mon-Fri Position ( No Weekends )

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Load and unload trucks with a forklift.
- Place and rotate items in inventory.
- Participate in site inventory every other month.
- Receive, unpack, check and store inventory and materials.
- Fill requisitions and orders.
- Pack and prepare products and materials for shipping.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local ordinances affecting this position.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and programs.
- Maintain valid driver’s license and forklift certification to perform responsibilities.
- Ensure timely processing of system information and proper documentation concerning inventory transactions (shipments, transfers, receipts, changes in cost/price, etc.).
- Clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood, and plastic.
- Assist Warehouse Manager and/or Dispatch Manager with special projects as needed.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- One to two years previous warehouse and forklift driving experience.
- Must have current and valid driver’s license
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Must be organized, self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to follow directions and strong willingness to learn.
- Prolonged sitting and driving a forklift - must be able to climb, sit, hear (other forklift in motion), grasp, and steer a vehicle in motion.
- Far and near visual acuity – must be able to see to drive forklift.
- Load and unload trucks – must be able to lift minimum of 60 pounds regularly in order to load and unload products.
- Mobility inside the warehouse – must be able to stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach, bend, pull, and grasp.
- Communication – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend
- Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.
- Close proximity to moving forklift
- Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
- Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.
- Must wear steel-toed boots.
- Recommended (site specific): Safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, back support. Will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
- Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations .
