Altium PCB Designer

Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified PCB Designer to work hybrid (partially onsite and partially remote) with our customer in McLeansville, NC. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• As a PCB Designer for Undersea Systems, you'll support CCA development for electronics used in high reliability undersea communication systems.
• Documentation capture including (bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, 3D model generation).
• Design and develop complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Altium.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers to clarify and refine design documentation.
• Contribute to fabrication and prototyping efforts, ensuring compliance with IPC and manufacturing standards.

Job Requirements

Here's what you'll need:

• Associate Degree
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with Altium for PCB design

Here's what sets you apart from other candidates:

• Knowledge of PCB layout tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, Xpedition. DXdatabook, BoardStation, Hyperlynx).
• 3D modeling in Solidworks, NX, or CREO.
• Circuit design and hands on prototyping experience.
• Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards.
• In depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques.
• Ability to communicate with suppliers when asked to provide clarification on design documentation packages.

• Requires an Active Secret Clearance.
