Mobile Development Director
Kelaca is partnering with a fast-scaling technology innovator based in Raleigh, NC to find a Mobile Development Director ready to lead at the intersection of enterprise software, heavy industry, and product-driven transformation.
This isn’t just a people manager role, it’s a high-leverage opportunity to shape the architecture, pace, and performance of a mobile engineering function delivering real-world impact. The company is revolutionizing how heavy asset operators manage plant maintenance, unlocking efficiency, safety, and operational clarity through software.
You’ll report directly to the VP of Development, lead a skilled mobile engineering team, and help define how scalable, human-centered mobile tools are built, tested, and improved. The environment is high-growth, high-ownership, and high-urgency, and they’re looking for someone ready to push the standard of excellence even further.

In your first 6–12 months, success in this role might look like:
- A high-performing mobile team that consistently ships quality features on time and at scale
- Streamlined development pipelines with clear metrics and visible burn-downs
- Strong architectural integrity across React Native, Swift, Kotlin, and MAUI
- UX improvements that reduce user friction and increase adoption

What You'll Do :
You’ll lead the engineering team responsible for building mobile solutions that power real-world operations:
Leadership & Team Performance
- Set vision and structure for a mobile team building cross-platform and native apps
- Drive accountability and clarity around scope, velocity, and delivery goals
- Coach, mentor, and develop engineers – improving individual and team performance
- Collaborate with VP of Development to set goals, track progress, and adjust course as needed
Development Execution & Architecture
- Ensure architecture is performant, scalable, and aligned with platform strategy
- Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testing
- Track release health using velocity metrics, quality stats, and delivery deltas
- Oversee tools and process improvements to drive consistency and speed
UX, Cross-Functional Partnership, and Strategy
- Advocate for mobile UX – ensuring every screen reflects intuitive design and industrial usability
- Build deep partnerships with Product, QA, and cross-functional teams
- Stay current on Prometheus Group's product roadmap and ensure mobile strategy aligns
- Collaborate on planning and investment decisions that support long-term platform evolution

Skills, Experience, and Tools That Matter
Must-Haves:
- 7+ years of technical leadership in mobile development
- Proven success managing mobile engineers across multiple projects and stacks
- Experience with React Native and native mobile (Swift, Kotlin, C#/.Net, MAUI)
- Strong OOP fundamentals and architectural pattern fluency
- History of delivering quality apps at enterprise scale
- High EQ leadership with coaching mindset
Nice-to-Haves:
- SaaS or enterprise software experience
- Familiarity with operational technology or plant maintenance systems
- Exposure to burndown tracking, release planning, and agile velocity monitoring
