Auditor (CPA)
We are hiring an experienced Auditor to join our growing accounting team in Thomasville, North Carolina . This full-time position and is ideal for professionals with 4–6 years of audit experience, particularly within nonprofit organizations and government entities. The Auditor will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and transparent reporting for clients in the public and nonprofit sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Perform financial statement audits for nonprofit and governmental clients in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable auditing standards.
- Assess internal controls, accounting processes, and compliance frameworks.
- Identify financial and operational risks and recommend improvements.
- Prepare comprehensive audit documentation, reports, and summaries of findings.
- Present audit results and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Monitor updates in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure timely and accurate engagement completion.
Requirements
- CPA license preferred
- 4–6 years of progressive auditing experience.
- Experience auditing nonprofit organizations and government entities strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, auditing standards, and compliance regulations.
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple audit engagements and meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for client and team interactions.
