Part-Time Nanny in Huntersville for a 1-Year-Old Girl

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Huntersville, NC, in finding a Part-Time Nanny for their 1-year-old daughter. The nanny would typically be needed on Friday from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (20 hours). There may be occasional schedule changes; the family will give the nanny advance notice of any schedule changes.

The best nanny for this family would be kind, experienced in caring for infants, patient, and would provide a nurturing environment for the child each day. It is expected that the nanny follow the baby’s schedule each day and meet and exceed the child’s daily needs. The nanny should be able to foster an educational environment and engage the child in age-appropriate activities, such as reading, high-contrast play, tummy time, sensory play, crafts, going on strolls, and playing both indoors and outdoors. These activities will grow and evolve. The family is looking for a long-term nanny who will grow with them over time.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Assisting with folding or putting away the Child’s laundry and changing the child’s sheets as needed

• Child’s bottle and meal prep (purees)

• Opening boxes and organizing bottles into the pantry

• Unloading/loading dishwasher as needed

• Wiping down kitchen counters after meal prep

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

• Emptying the diaper pail

Pets: The family has two domestic shorthair cats, a Golden Doodle, and an Australian Cattle Dog mix. All pets have their own rooms and will not need anything from the nanny during the day. The parents will take care of the pets.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; fluency in Spanish would be a plus.

• Must be up to date on childhood vaccinations (especially MMR), TDAP, Covid-19, and the annual Flu Vaccine.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• Legal pay is offered at $28.00 an hour, negotiable depending on experience
