We provide participants with exposure to the specialty insurance industry and an opportunity for those who excel in the program, the opportunity for full-time employment at ARU or another Accelerant Holdings affiliate.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Spend time learning in both a classroom, real-life exercises, and field experience.
• Be challenged to work on actual business cases (in both group and individual work)
• Gain exposure to industry professionals through rotating section instructors in the following areas:
  • Accounting, Biling & Finance
  • Actuarial, Rate-making, and Product Development
  • Distribution
  • Fundamentals of insurance, insurance types, and insurance use cases
  • GIS & Modeling
  • Legal and the Insurance Contract
  • Operations
  • Policy life cycle
  • Regulatory & Compliance
  • Reinsurance
  • Technology, Policy Admin Systems, and other Information Systems
  • Underwriting, Claims, and Loss Control

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Be onsite and in-person, at Innovation Junction in Chapel Hill, NC (just off UNC campus).
• Class of 2026 or 2027
• Ability to work 30 hours per week for 10 weeks (May - August 2026)
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in exploring professional opportunities in the Property & Casualty insurance industry
• Identify with the following characteristics:
  • Curious and open-minded
  • Passionate about learning and self-improvement
  • Conscientiousness and self-organized
