Trauma RN Job Details

• Location: Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801
• Unit: 5 West Medicine (36 beds)
• Employment Type: Travel nursing job
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 7/28/2025 – End: 10/27/2025)
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,770 - $1,820

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• BLS certification (required for healthcare jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent trauma, medical telemetry, or acute care nursing experience
• Proficient documentation skills; Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Ability to float to sister Med-Surg units as needed
• Compassionate, team-oriented, and hard-working attitude
• Charge Nurse experience and BSN preferred
• CMSRN certification encouraged

Trauma Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to trauma and medical telemetry patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions using remote telemetry and advanced clinical equipment
• Prepare patients for procedures including Endoscopy, IR, and OR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EMR
• Float to sister units (3W, 5W, K8) as needed
