Our fast-growing and dynamic business is seeking a Supply Manager to ensure the success of move management projects by coordinating supplies, as well as maintaining vehicles and storage spaces, helping to deliver a seamless, stress-free experience for clients and reliable support for the team.

The Downsizers is the Triangle’s leading full-service move management team, specializing in supporting older adults and individuals in transition. Through our proprietary system, PLAN – SORT – PACK – SETTLE, we serve and guide older adults and their families through life's most important transitions. Many of our projects are fast-paced and physically demanding, often taking place under tight deadlines. They frequently involve working with older adults during significant life transitions, which can be emotionally sensitive. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and adaptable—capable of offering thoughtful support with empathy, dignity, and professionalism.

We proudly serve the entire Triangle region (including Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Durham, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Hillsborough, Fuquay-Varina, and surrounding areas). The Downsizers work in private homes, apartment complexes and senior communities.

Job Description

The Supply Associate plays a key role in supporting the Supply Manager, ensuring a smooth, efficient supply delivery process. This position is primarily based at our storage units in Durham.

  • Ensure fleet is promptly and efficiently unloaded at the end of each day and fully restocked with the necessary supplies for the following day's projects.

  • Safely secure supplies during transport to prevent damage.

  • Refuel company vehicles and monitor fuel levels regularly.

  • Conduct basic vehicle checks (e.g., tire pressure, cleanliness) and report maintenance needs.

  • Review inventory of supplies and notify the Supply Manager when stock is low.

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized storage units.

  • Model dependability by showing up on time with the tools and mindset needed for a successful shift.

  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Complete required training and participate in team meetings.

Qualifications

This is an evening shift role with an approximate schedule of 6:00–9:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The Friday shift may alternatively be completed on Sunday evening, if needed.

This position offers opportunities for growth, with the potential for additional hours or extended shifts based on performance and business needs.

  • Demonstrates physical dexterity and the fitness required to safely perform tasks involving heavy lifting, bending, and reaching. Must be comfortable in varying weather conditions.

  • Highly reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in navigating project supply requests, inventory, email, expense report submissions, and timesheets.

  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and dedication to outstanding client service.

  • Previous experience in logistics, moving, or warehouse work is a plus.

  • Must be comfortable driving an 18' box truck, as well as a 14-ft ProMaster High-Roof Van.

  • Valid driver’s license is required for fleet management.

Range: $18-$20/hour
